The BVAA (British Valve and Actuators Association) is an organisation who operate on a not-for-profit basis to support the British Valve Industry, and its supply chain organisations, with essential services such as technical advice, business support, specialist training and an opportunity for collaboration.

As a respected members body for over 80 years, the high-quality training offered by the BVAA covers a broad range required by the valve industry.  A particularly successful training opportunity delivered is the BVAA’s Future Leaders Programme (FLP), a bespoke programme that develops talented individuals as potential future leaders of the British Valve Industry.

Since its introduction in 2016, over 60 delegates have successfully completed the FLP course, with many rapidly progressing through their company hierarchy into leadership roles.

The delegates are nominated by the company they work for, and the individuals are interviewed to ensure their suitability to the programme.  LB Bentley is delighted that two of our employees have been accepted on to the FLP – Emily Harding (Aftermarket Sales Degree Apprentice) and Phil Mott (Chargehand).

Both Emily and Phil are equally delighted to have been given this opportunity, they are committed and dedicated in their approach to training and delivering the necessary to fully satisfy the requirements of the programme.
